Barry Bonds and American Baseball's Image
The sport of baseball is considered America’s pastime. Baseball has been a popular phenomenon since it became professional in 1869. America takes pride in the sport of baseball and the impact it has had across the country. Those who play professional baseball are widely considered heroes to young children around the nation. What happens when the thing that Americans take pride in, all of the sudden, becomes embarrassing? This is exactly what Barry Bonds did to baseball.
